We at all times reserve the right to limit the quantity of any item sold or to refuse a requested order altogether.
Certain products or services may be available exclusively online through the website. These products or services may have limited quantities and are subject to return or exchange only according to our Return Policy.
Available only within Lagos State, Nigeria. When you opt for our Return Service, you agree to return your JACQUÉ jar, purchased through any of our platforms, digital and otherwise, in good and marketable condition. We reserve the right to return a jar to you where we discover damage that we may consider material upon receipt. You shall be responsible for ensuring that your JACQUÉ jar reaches us in good condition. This option may only be used when you are returning a JACQUÉ jar and not otherwise. Where this option is selected in the case where you are not returning a JACQUÉ jar and payment is made, we reserve the right the convert such payment into store credits which can be used for other available items on the website.
Products and Prices
The price and availability of any products contained or referenced on this website is subject to change at any time and without notice. As noted elsewhere herein, JACQUÉ is not responsible for any typographical errors, which specifically includes those relating to the price or size of an item.
All prices displayed on this site apply only to the products and services available on the website and may not necessarily reflect the prices of such products or services, or similar items, available through our stockists or otherwise.
Prices are at all times subject to availability and nothing herein shall constitute an “offer to sell.” Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, we specifically reserve the right to refuse to sell to any person or entity known or believed by us to be a reseller of our products. For all wholesale enquiries please contact us on our designated email address. We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible, the colors and images of our products that appear at the store. We cannot guarantee that your monitor display of your device for any color will be accurate. We do not warrant that the quality of any products, services, information, or other material purchased or obtained by you will meet your expectations, or that any errors in the service will be corrected.
Occasionally, there may be information on our site or in the service that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions that may relate to product descriptions, pricing, promotions, offers, product shipping charges, transit times and availability. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time. However, where orders have already been placed for discontinued or out of stock products, we may offer store credit subject to our Return Policy.
Once an order has been placed by you, cancellation or change to your order will not be possible unless we receive your request by phone or email within 24 hours from placing your original order. However, where such order has already been processed and dispatched, no cancellation or change of orders will be accepted.

What Do We Do With Your Information?
When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process or sign up on our Site by creating an account, you provide JACQUÉ with your information which may include your name, address and email address. When you browse our store, we may automatically collect your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system. Email marketing: with your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates.
When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only. If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.
You may withdraw your consent for collection, use and disclosure at any time by sending an email using JACQUÉ’s contact details at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that, if you withdraw your consent for collection, JACQUÉ may suspend its provision of products and/or services to you.

JACQUÉ will not disclose any of your personal information to anyone else, except to its employees, independent contractors, subsidiaries, affiliates, consultants, business associates, service providers, suppliers and agents, acting on its behalf for any of the identified purposes or if we have reason to believe that disclosure is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interference (either intentionally or unintentionally) with JACQUÉ’s rights or property, other users of the Site, products or services, or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities.
By accepting these terms, you accept that JACQUÉ may share your information with third parties to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions. For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.
To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed. Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted. All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council.
AGE OF CONSENT
By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.
QUESTIONS AND CONTACT INFORMATION
When an order is placed, it will be shipped to the address designated by you as long as we ship to such address. As a result, risk of loss and the title for items purchased from this site pass to you upon delivery of the items to the carrier.
All orders are shipped using local courier service providers who are neither employees, agents or partners of JACQUÉ. We shall endeavor to use the fastest delivery service to ensure your order gets to you in good time, however, JACQUÉ shall not be responsible for any undue delay caused by third party courier service providers after your item has been shipped, as shipping times vary depending on destination.
Cost of shipping
For orders within Lagos, Nigeria – Flat rate no.1 of N1,500 (excluding specified areas below)
For orders in these specified areas (Lagos outskirts) – Flat rate no.2 of N2,500
If you select flat rate no. 1 for shipping within Lagos at checkout and your delivery address falls within the specified areas, you will be required to pay the balance for shipping at delivery before your items can be collected.
The specified areas include:
- Ajah, Epe, Ibeju Lekki and environs
- Badagry, Ojo and environs
For orders outside Lagos state, within Nigeria – Flat rate no.3 of N3,000
Orders placed are processed within 1-3 business days. Typical delivery time frame is between 3-10 business days after your order has been processed and shipped, however you may receive your order much earlier. You should receive a shipping notification once your order leaves our station.
Note that travel times may be longer due to COVID-19-related issues and other issues not within our control.
Pre-orders will be charged for at the time of ordering and these orders shall be shipped 1-2 business days after the stipulated release date.
All orders placed after 4pm WAT will be processed the following business day. All orders placed on weekends and public holidays will be processed on the next business day.
Free Shipping for Domestic Orders
All orders within Lagos, Nigeria over ₦50,000 are shipped for free.
You are responsible for providing your correct mailing address as JACQUÉ will not be responsible for any shipping error resulting from any incorrect provided by you. Once the package arrives and has been confirmed by our shipping carrier that it is has been delivered, we are not responsible for the loss or theft of your package.
IMPORTANT COVID-19 GUIDELINE: Due to Covid-19 there may be delays outside of our control. From time to time, we will conduct audit and sanitization and these activities may delay fulfillment by 1-2 business days. We thank you for your patience and understanding.
Sadly, we are currently not offering International shipping. We shall update our international customers as soon as we begin international shipping through third party partners. Please bear with us for now.
Returns + Exchanges
All of our products are carefully inspected before they are shipped, thus, we generally do not accept returns or offer exchanges. However, in the event that your order is defective, damaged during shipment or if you receive the wrong item, please contact us at email@example.com with the subject “Returns/Exchange” with photographic proof of the damage or error within 48 hours of delivery, so we can try to make it right. Unfortunately, we cannot offer you the option of return or exchange after 48 hours of delivery.
Where our available options are not satisfactory, we may offer you the option to return the item(s) for an exchange, subject to availability of stock. Please note that we do not offer refunds. However, we provide you with store credit in the amount of your returned goods.
To be eligible for a return or exchange, your item must be in its original packaging, unopened, unused and in the same condition that you received it.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. We advice that you make use of a service that provides tracked shipping as we do not guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you. We reserve the right to reject any returns/exchanges that do not comply with the conditions stated above. Please contact us if you have any questions or problems.
All sale items are final and cannot be returned or exchanged.
How big are your candles?
JACQUÉ candles contain 10oz/283g of scented candle wax and offers up to 50+ hours of burn.
What kind of wax do we use?
We use 100% soy wax which will provide you with cleaner and slower burn, making your candle last for as long as possible before your next restock.
Candle Care FAQs
For the first burn, how long should burn my candle?
When you light your candle for the first time, always allow the wax to burn so that it melts across the entire surface to the edges and pools to the edges of the jar. This may take up to 2-4 hours, but we promise it will make your candle last longer, assist in preventing tunnelling and help promote an even burn for the duration of the candle’s life.
How can I maximize my scent throw?
Open windows and doors will disperse scent and lessen the concentration. For maximum fragrance keep windows and doors closed and burn in desired space for 30 mins before entering.
Do need to trim my wick before every use?
Yes. To get the most out of your candle, we recommend trimming your wick before every lighting. The wick only needs to be approximately 6mm in length, keeping it this length will avoid mushrooming which can result in unnecessary soot. This also controls the size of the flame allowing you to get the most time out of your candle.
How do I handle soot from the flames?
If soot forms on the inside of the vessel, extinguish candle, wait for it to cool, then wipe with a clean damp cloth. Trim wick and relight.
How can I tell if my candle is burning properly?
Efficient burning means flame is not flickering, teardrop shaped and upright. Extinguish a candle if it smokes, flickers, or the flame becomes too high. These signs indicate the candle is not burning properly and the flame isn’t controlled. Let the candle cool, trim the wick, then check for drafts before re-lighting.
When should I stop burning my candle?
It is really important candles are not burnt when there is 10mm of wax or less remaining in the jar. Although it is tempting to continue burning your candle until the wax is gone, we strongly advise against this as the flame needs a solid base of wax to avoid overheating the jar.
How should I store my candle?
It may seem obvious, but please keep your candle away from areas that can get quite hot in the home. You can store your candle in a cool and dry place, protected from dust. Avoid placing your candles where they will be directly exposed to sunlight or harsh indoor lighting, such as a spotlights.
